Younes Panahi, in a press conference hosted by Semnan University of Medical Sciences on Thursday afternoon, on the sidelines of the Pharmacology Congress, stated: The number of health-based knowledge-based companies was 700 before the thirteenth government, and today, more than 1,300 knowledge-based companies are active in the health sector.
He added that the number of health-based knowledge-based companies has approximately doubled in the thirteenth government, stating: These knowledge-based companies are currently active in sectors such as raw materials, pharmaceuticals, equipment, etc., indicating that the government has paid good attention to this sector.
The Deputy Minister of Health emphasized that the majority of health-based knowledge-based companies, 40% of the total, are involved in the final stage of drug production. He stated: 30% of health-based knowledge-based companies in the country are also active in the production of pharmaceutical raw materials.
Panahi expressed that 24% of health-based knowledge-based companies produce medical equipment, stating: The remaining companies are active in the fields of nutrition, protocols, agriculture, etc.
He stated that 90% of the required drugs in our country are domestically produced, saying: 55% of pharmaceutical raw materials are also produced in our country, which needs to increase. As a result, we have assigned 25 types of pharmaceutical raw materials to the universities of medical sciences to localize.
